


About Us
Children Can Shape the Future (CCSF) is an independent private foundation. Its grants seek to reduce and eliminate inequities that shortchange student achievement by strengthening the in-school academic experience and out-of-school time supports. CCSF makes grants to organizations that provide children and youth in under-resourced communities in Camden and Philadelphia with opportunities for high quality educational and development experiences to facilitate their healthy development and prepare them for academic success and/or employment.
Program areas supported by CCSF are:
- Youth development
- Enhanced learning opportunities and experiences as part of the K-12 school day
- After-school and summer learning opportunities for children and youth
- Efforts to strengthen and support teachers and the educator workforce
Types of grants:
- Project support
- General operating support
Preference for Programming that is:
- Trauma-informed
- Connection to a school and the curriculum
- Addresses an in-school deficit (arts & culture, literacy, STEM)
- Provides sustained experience/exposure as opposed to a more limited experience or a one-time exposure
Applications for funding are by invitation only.
